Child Injured After Car Crashes Into Playground: Stamford Police
Police said a car was exiting Lione Park in Stamford on Sunday when it crashed through a chainlink fence and into a playground.

STAMFORD, CT — An 11-year-old child was injured Sunday after a car crashed into a playground at the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford, according to police.
At 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, a white four-door sedan driven by a 54-year-old Stamford woman was going through the parking lot at Lione Park and heading towards the exit, Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police Department said.
"It looks like the person driving the car stepped on the gas instead of the brake pedal and drove through a chainlink fence into where the playground area is," Booth said. "There was a kid on the swings, and [the car] hit the swingset."
