Christmas Day Homicide Probed In Stamford: PD

STAMFORD, CT — City police are investigating a fatal stabbing early Christmas Day at a party on Crystal Street that claimed the life of a 32-year-old male.

According to the Stamford Police Department, police were called at about 3:30 a.m. Monday to Stamford Hospital, where a stabbing victim undergoing treatment in the emergency room.

Police said the 32-year-old male victim had multiple stab wounds and was previously dropped off at the entrance of the emergency room by unknown individuals.

The victim was rushed into emergency surgery, but he succumbed to his injuries later in the morning while in the intensive care unit, police said.

At about 3:52 a.m., the patrol division observed a second individual walking recklessly downtown in the roadway on Broad Street.

This individual was stopped and identified as Beimar Araujo-Ramirez, 22.

The patrol investigation determined there was a connection between Arouja-Ramirez and the stabbing victim.

Police said Araujo-Ramirez and the victim had attended a party where a fight had occurred, with Araujo-Ramirez saying he and others had driven the victim to the hospital.

The preliminary investigation determined the party was held at a residence on Crystal Street and witnesses have confirmed a fight occurred outside.

The circumstances surrounding this fight and the injuries that led to the death of the victim remain under investigation, according to police

Araujo-Ramirez was charged by police with disorderly conduct about his actions toward the two hosts of the party, who were tenants at the residence.
