A Stamford man is facing a 14-year jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of a three-month boy who authorities say also was sexually assaulted.
Osvaldo Romero, 25, of Henry Street, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and risk of injury to a child on Tuesday, for the December 2011 death of William Zamore, according to The Advocate.
An autopsy showed that the baby died from injuries indicative of shaken baby syndrome, and that there were rectal injuries consistent with sexual assault. The death was ruled a homicide.
