Contractor Dies In Stamford Warehouse Fall: Report

The fatal incident occurred Wednesday afternoon.

STAMFORD, CT — A 59-year-old Stamford man died Wednesday after falling 30 feet through a skylight at Stamford Windustrial Co. on Sunnyside Avenue, writes the Stamford Advocate.

The victim's identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. He was pronounced dead later in the afternoon at Stamford Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

According to police, the man was in the midst of repairing the building's roof when it appears that he stepped on something that could not support his weight, and that led to the fall.
