Cove Island COVID-19 Testing Site Closed Monday

The city of Stamford announced the closure Monday morning.

STAMFORD, CT — Due to frigid temperatures, the Sema4 COVID-19 testing site at Cove Island Park has been closed on Monday, the city of Stamford announced. The site was also closed on Sunday because of freezing rain.

Monday's forecast in Stamford calls for a high of 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and a low of 14. There is currently a Special Weather Statement in effect for southern Fairfield County until 4 a.m. Tuesday that warns of wind chills of near 0 to 10 below zero.

The new Accu Reference testing site at 689 Canal St. is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and takes walk-ins and those who are uninsured.
