Culinary Headliners Announced For Hey Stamford! Food Festival

The region's largest food and music festival is scheduled for Aug. 11-14, and Aug. 18-21.

STAMFORD, CT — Renowned celebrity chefs Todd English and Aaron May will be the culinary headliners for the fifth annual Hey Stamford! Food Festival.

The region's largest food and music festival is scheduled for Aug. 11-14, and Aug. 18-21. English and May will host culinary demonstrations on Aug. 13 and 14. Also joining them will be a soon-to-be announced roster of well-known chef friends, offering live cooking presentations, interacting with festival goers and more.

The event will also feature more than 50 food vendors each weekend with live performances from Flo Rida, DJ Pauly D, I Love the 90’s Tour (featuring Vanilla Ice, Rob Base, All-4-One, Young MC, Kid N Play), Resurrection - A Journey Tribute and others.

The announcement comes on the heels of the recent news that the English Hospitality Group (EHG), a partnership between Todd English and entrepreneur Keith Burkard, will open an 80,000 square foot, two-story immersive Todd English Food Hall and global art exhibition in the Stamford Town Center Mall, which is expected to open in early 2024.

English has established one of the best-known restaurant brands in the nation, published several cookbooks and produced his own TV shows for PBS. He's been recognized by some of the food industry's most prestigious publications.

May is currently the executive chef and culinary director at Bullseye Event Group, where he cooks around the world at the biggest sports and music events. May also oversees the food and kitchens at his Arizona restaurants, The Lodge and Goodwood Tavern, in Arizona and has appeared in multiple Food Network series.

"It is an honor to welcome such amazing culinary talent to our growing event this year!" said Hey Stamford! founder P.J. Kennedy in a news release. "With the Todd English Food Hall making its way to our city, we are thrilled to be able to show Todd and Aaron how great our Stamford community is!"

Ilario Altamura, president of Parachute Concerts and co-producer of the event, said his group works each year to enhance the onsite experience for attendees.

"With everything from the live performance lineup to the growing number of food offerings, it’s a perfect fit for two amazing chefs such as Todd and Aaron to come on board and lend their culinary talents to the 2022 Hey Stamford! Food Festival," Altamura said in a news release.

The Hey Stamford! Food Festival will announce additional culinary talent in the coming weeks.

Daily Schedule

Aug. 11 & 18: The Thursday Night Beer Garden will feature ice-cold craft brews, wine and specialty cocktails, plus live entertainment by the best in local bands and DJs. 21-plus.

Aug. 12 & 19: TGIF x HSFF: Thank God It’s Friday at the Hey Stamford! Food Fest! There will be mouth-watering eats, live music and activities for the entire family. Entertainment TBA.

Aug. 13-14 & 20-21: Highlighting the region's thriving culinary scene, each Saturday & Sunday features a uniquely curated roster of 50-plus food vendors, restaurants and food trucks. Get ready for live performances on the HSFF mainstage by DJ Pauly D, Flo-Rida, I Love The 90’s ft. Vanilla Ice, Rob Base, All-4-One, Young MC & Kid N Play, Resurrection: A Journey Tribute. Plus, celebrity chefs & food personalities doing live food demos, exclusive food item offerings and more.
