Police Question Husband In Death Of Stamford Woman

After they were called to the scene Monday morning, authorities found the woman bloody and not breathing.

STAMFORD, CT — A woman, reportedly covered in blood and not breathing, was discovered early Monday morning in Stamford's Westover section, and police are questioning the woman's husband in relation to the case, writes the Stamford Advocate.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the Hycliff Terrace scene, and her body reportedly was not removed by the state's Chief Medical Examiners office until almost 11 a.m.

Details were not immediately available, and Stamford police were processing a scene, located near Halliwell Drive, on Monday.

The husband's identity also has not been released by police. He was in the home at about 8:30 a.m. when the authorities were contacted; the Advocate notes that the home where the woman was found is owned by Allen and Eden Claxton.
