Stamford’s thriving financial district boosts one of the largest concentrations of corporations attracting Fortune 500 and international corporations. With a revitalized downtown and redeveloped waterfront community on the South Side of the City, Harbor Point, companies large and small are now calling Stamford home. Vineyard Vines, Henkel, Charter Communications,Deloitte, Gartner, Synchrony Financial, Nestle’ Waters, Indeed, and Half Full Brewery are just several that are based here in Stamford!
Stamford is thriving with many business expansions and new additions to the economic landscape of the city recently announced by the following corporations: Charter Communications is building a new 500,000 square foot headquarters in the South End neighborhood of the City creating 1,100 new jobs, ITV America and Wheelhouse Media announced a new Stamford hub creating 450 new jobs, Bank of America is relocating a portion of its NYC operations into the RBS building with 115,000 sq. ft., the arrival of the only Home Depot built in the US in 2018, PwC will add 400 new jobs as their Tax Division headquarters just to name a few that call Stamford home! The Chamber’s commitment is to support and strengthen the business community and city as we diversify and grow into the future. Our thriving business community is supported by an abundance of diverse living options, living directly on the waterfront on Long Island Sound, luxury apartment living in downtown or living in the beautiful tranquil country settings in the North side of Stamford.
Situated in Stamford are several higher education institutions UCONN’s satellite campus with newly expanded dorms, and branches of Sacred Heart University and the University of Bridgeport. Stamford Health’s recent expansion provides state of the art healthcare services and providers. The City is known for top-notch schools and the school system boasts a 91% graduation rate.
