Downtown Stamford's First Outdoor Beer Garden Officially Opens
Overlooking Broad Street at the base of Landmark Square, Landmark Beer Garden offers more than 25 local craft and domestic beers.
STAMFORD, CT — Those in the downtown Stamford area looking for an ice cold beer in a relaxed outdoor setting don't have to travel very far, as the Landmark Beer Garden officially opened earlier this week.
Overlooking Broad Street at the base of Landmark Square and next to the Landmark Bow Tie movie theater, the outdoor beer garden offers more than 25 local craft and domestic beers to go along with a list of ciders, seltzers (both alcoholic, and a non-alcoholic CBD options from Thomas Hooker and CT Valley), and wine. Pitcher specials are available.
Food offerings include Eisenberg all-beef hot dogs, cheesy nachos, and giant bavarian pretzels with grain mustard.

Joe Masher, Chief Operating Officer for Bow Tie Cinemas, has been looking at the open space for 15 years.
"We've had the theater for about 15 years, and I've been staring at this space wanting to do something with it. I think coming out of the pandemic, people really value outdoor experiences. I think it was the perfect time to open it," Masher said, who decided to turn his vision into a reality this past March. The beer garden is a separate operation from the movie theater, and guests do not need a movie ticket to enter.

But Masher hopes to take advantage of the newly renovated theater and kitchen to offer Sunday brunch at the beer garden throughout the summer.
Landmark Beer Garden features rustic picnic tables, high-top seating, and lawn and table games set up throughout the space which can hold 100 people comfortably. Masher said he plans on having DJs, karaoke, acoustic music, comedy shows and trivia events.
"I hope the downtown residents embrace it and feel comfortable coming here. I think it's going to be a fun space for everybody to enjoy," Masher said.
The beer garden is open seven days a week, Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to theater close and Saturday and Sunday from noon to theater close. Happy hour will be offered Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m.
Masher said the beer garden will stay open through October before reopening again the following summer. He hopes to open up a redemption-style arcade indoors by Halloween that will be open year-round. The 5,000 square foot space was previously used to house the movie theater's air handling equipment, but since the renovation was completed, the space has been emptied out.
The arcade would be for kids and adults, and have challenging games of skill and high-prize redemptions.
Landmark Beer Garden will also be available for rentals for business happy hours, parties, or other celebrations.
