Elderly Stamford Woman Killed After Car Runs Over Her
The 84-year-old victim reportedly parked her car to talk to a neighbor when the vehicle rolled and struck both women Tuesday afternoon.
An 84-year-old woman reportedly has died from injuries suffered after her parked car rolled backward and hit her while she talked with a neighbor in a Bedford Street parking lot.
The Stamford Police Department Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is seeking witnesses who may have seen the accident that happened in the parking lot at 2539 Bedford St. shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to NBC Connecticut.
The victim reportedly had gotten out of her car she parked in the driveway of her condominium to speak with a neighbor when the car rolled back and struck both women. Both were taken to Stamford Hospital where the 84-year-old died from her injuries. Her identity has not been released pending notification of her relatives, according to NBC Connecticut story that can be found here.
