Face Mask Giveaways Taking Place In Stamford This Week
Stamford Police and fire officials will be giving away face masks to residents during two events Thursday evening.
STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Police and fire officials will be giving away face masks to residents during two mask drive events Thursday evening. In a Facebook post, police said the giveaways will serve the city's South End, as well as the Glenbrook and Springdale communities.
The mask drives will take place at the South End Community Center, located on Woodland Street, and at Dolan Middle School, located on Toms Road, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
"We encourage all Stamford residents who are in need of masks to come by to get one for themselves and for their families," police said on Facebook. "Our goal is to get as many masks out to the community to assist residents in keeping themselves and [their] families safe. We want to continue flattening the curve."
