Father Arrested After Leaving Kids Unsupervised In Stamford: PD

The kids were found swiping food off of people's tables at a Dunkin' Donuts.

STAMFORD, CT — A man was arrested after he left his two young children unsupervised at a Dunkin' Donuts when he went in search of day laborers, police said.

Police responded to a disturbance at the restaurant's Elm Street location and found a 4 and 2-year-old swiping food off of people's tables, according to the Stamford Advocate.

A woman later called 911 to report her children missing. Her husband Mansur Ahmed, 37, said he left his children strapped in the vehicle.

He was charged with two counts of leaving a child unsupervised.
