STAMFORD, CT — Cloonan Middle School was locked down Tuesday morning and police were called to the school after there was a fight between two students, according to Principal David Tate.

Tate said the lockdown was a part of the district's standard protocols for these kinds of situations. Stamford Public Schools spokesperson Justin Martin said the lockdown was lifted shortly after the incident.
