Food Poisoning Complaints Made Against Popular Stamford Restaurant

City and state health inspectors are investigating.

STAMFORD, CT — City and state health inspectors are investigating after at least five people complained of becoming ill after eating Layla's Falafel last Wednesday.

Three complaints came from a group that ate together and two other individual complaints were made, according to the Stamford Advocate.

No staff members reported having a stomach illness and stool samples were collected for testing. No violations were found Friday that could lead to illness bu a city health inspector.

A manager at the restaurant told the Advocate that the restaurant was busy Wednesday and doesn't believe it was the food that made people ill.
