Former Stamford Doctor Considered for FDA Top Post: Report
Dr. Scott Gottieb is in the running to run the Food and Drug Administration.

STAMFORD, CT — Former Stamford Hospital Dr. Scott Gottieb is being considered to run the Food and Drug Administration under President-Elect Donald Trump.
Also up for consideration is Jim O'Neill, a colleague of Peter Thiel who is advising the Trump transition team, according to Reuters.
Gottieb currently owns a house in Westport, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Gottieb is a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a public policy think tank. He previously was a deputy commissioner for the FDA and a senior policy adviser to the administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, according to his biography.
He is also a clinical assistant professor at the New York University School of Medicine and a member of the Federal Health IT Policy Committee under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
