Curtain Call and The Ferguson Library present a free holiday program

To kick off the holiday season, Curtain Call is launching a new Childrens' Theatre series: CURTAIN CALL'S COLLEGE OF CULTURE AND CURIOSITY! With a generous grant from The Harvard Business School Club of Connecticut, in conjunction with Porsche Greenwich, this new Children’s Theatre Initiative begins Saturday, December 10, with a free presentation called THE TALE OF THE SNOW PRINCESS to be held at the Ferguson Library, main branch, Broad Street, Stamford. (Two additional programs - February and April - will complete the series.)
Based on traditional Italian Comedia Dell' arte street theatre performances, this 45-minute holiday entertainment is a combination of several old stories, (NOT to be be at all with FROZEN...), will feature several seasonal songs, (non-denominational) and lots of audience interaction and participation. Great fun for kids ages 9 to 14. The performance will be in the main auditorium at 2:00pm. To register for this event, go to www.fergusonlibrary.org/events.
"We're very excited to launch this program and are so grateful to The Harvard Business School Club of Connecticut and Porsche Greenwich for the funding to make it possible," said Lou Ursone, Curtain Call's executive director. "This first production is just light fun for the holidays; the February show will explore stories of American presidents while the April show will be an original musical," Ursone added.
In addition to the library presentation, Curtain Call will present the same show on Saturday, December 17 at 2:30pm in The Kweskin Theatre at the Sterling Farms Theatre Complex, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. This is also a free event but reservations are required. Call the Curtain Call Box Office at 203-461-6358 or go online to www.curtaincallinc.com.
