Free Outdoor Music And Dance Performance Planned In Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — Orchestra Lumos, East Coast Contemporary Ballet and Stamford Downtown will present "The Four Seasons," a free outdoor performance combining live music and contemporary dance, on Thursday, Aug. 20, in Stamford.

The performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Veterans Park, 130 Atlantic St.

The production features contemporary dance choreography set to music inspired by Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons," reimagined by four modern composers and performed live by a string quintet from Orchestra Lumos.

The work was choreographed by East Coast Contemporary Ballet founders Claire Mazza and Alejandro Ulloa and premiered at the company's 2026 gala.

Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or other outdoor seating. Local restaurants will offer light bites, and the Wine Room will offer a tasting.

Based in Stamford, Orchestra Lumos serves Fairfield County under Music Director Michael Stern.

The orchestra presents subscription concerts at the Palace Theatre and offers smaller community performances and educational programs at venues throughout southwestern Connecticut and nearby New York.
