Fuel Spill Closes Road In Stamford: Police

Motorists should use alternate routes as crews work to address the spill, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — Stamford police announced Thursday shortly before 9 a.m. that Farms Road is closed between Riverbank Road and Taconic Road due to a motor vehicle fuel spill.

Pedestrians, vehicles, or bicyclists are not allowed in the area, police said. Motorists should use alternate routes.

Police said there is currently no estimated time for cleanup or reopening. It was not immediately clear what caused the fuel spill.
