A Glenbrook fixture for 18 years, Hua Lin Chinese Restaurant has relocated to a new space around the corner as CVS pursues plans take over the shopping center at the intersection of Hope Street and Rock Spring Road.
Hua Lin has always been located in Glenbrook, owner Wendy Li said from the newly renovated restaurant—formerly and famously where Quattro Pazzi used to sit.“It’s fantastic,” Li said of the new place. “All my customers come and like it very much.”
The over-the-counter restaurant features outdoor seating, a few small tables upstairs and more space downstairs that Li says she’s converting into a new private party room.
One regular, Stamford’s Maggie Varagas (favorite dish: chicken with rice) said she preferred the new Hua Lin’s.
“It’s better. Very nice and new,” Varagas said.
Meanwhile, CVS has relocated to one side of the massive parking lot that soon will feature a new store—which would make it the seventh, by my count, in Stamford alone.
