Goodwill to Open Second Stamford Location, Hire 65+ Employees

It is also the 20th Goodwill location in western and northern Connecticut.

STAMFORD, CT—Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut will open a second retail store and donation station in Stamford on Elm Street.

The 16,576-square foot building will employ more than 65 people, according to a press release. It will tentatively open at the end of December.

“We’re excited to open our second retail store and donation station in Stamford, a community that is a wonderful supporter of Goodwill,” said Vickie Volpano, President and CEO, Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut. “This second Stamford location will compliment our original store in the community with a convenient drive-thru donation station, ample parking, and large sales floor.”

The location will have a hassle-free donation drive-thru where donors can pull up and attendants will help offload items and provide a tax receipt for contributions.

It will be the 20th Goodwill store in western and northern Connecticut. So far 45 people have been hired and the store is looking to fill another 23 positions.
