Lamont's campaign, via WFSB 3 TV, said that for months "political provocateurs have shown up to disrupt the Governor’s events..."

The campaign said that these so-called "journalists" are actually supporters of the Republican candidates, and they are "trying to turn nothing into something in a last-ditch effort to generate attention for (Fazio's) struggling campaign."

Fazio told WFSB 3 TV that Lamont's actions were "shameful," and that he should apologize.
