Heavy Traffic, Delays In Downtown Stamford Thursday: Police
Construction work in the area is the culprit/.
STAMFORD, CT — As construction work continues in Downtown Stamford Thursday, primarily in the areas around Summer Street and Washington Boulevard (between Broad and Main streets), Stamford police are urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
Crews will be working until about 6 p.m., according to the below post on the department's Twitter page:
#StamfordCT Stamford downtown, primarily Summer St and Washington Blvd between Broad and Main Streets, currently experiencing heavy vehicular traffic congestion due to construction until about 1800 hours today. Avoid operating a vehicle in the area if you don't have to.
