House Fire Extinguished In Stamford: FD
Fire officials said residents evacuated the multifamily home after being alerted by neighbors.
STAMFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a house fire on Lockwood Avenue late Monday morning after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting the blaze.
Firefighters responded to the area around 10:45 a.m. and found fire showing from a porch on the multifamily home's second floor, Deputy Chief Eric Lorenz said in a statement.

"Firefighters deployed two hose lines to quickly extinguish the fire and prevented the fire from extending into the interior living space of the house," Lorenz said in a statement. "The fire was declared under control within 15 minutes."
A total of 32 fire department personnel responded to the incident, Lorenz said. No injuries were reported.

Stamford police provided traffic control during the fire. The Stamford Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident, Lorenz said.
