CT-Owned Ship Hit By Missile From Houthi Rebels: Report
Commercial ships in the Red Sea, an important route for global trade, have been targeted by Houthi rebels, the Associated Press reported.

STAMFORD, CT — Houthi rebels fired a missile and struck a U.S. ship owned by Stamford-based company Eagle Bulk Shipping Sunday off the coast of Yemen, according to the Associated Press.
The AP reported there were no injuries aboard the Gibraltar Eagle, a cargo ship carrying steel products.
Eagle Bulk Shipping has a fleet of 64 ships, the company's website says. There are corporate offices in Stamford at 300 First Stamford Place. The Gibraltar Eagle was built in 2015.

Commercial ships in the Red Sea, an important route for global trade, have been targeted by Houthi rebels since November in the wake of the war between Israel and Hamas, the AP noted.
The U.S. and allied nations conducted strikes on the rebels last Friday in response to the attacks, according to the AP. Another American-led strike was carried out Tuesday.
