How To Watch Caroline Simmons' Swearing-In Ceremony

STAMFORD, CT — Caroline Simmons will make history on Wednesday when she's sworn-in as Stamford's first female mayor.

The swearing-in ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. from the Stamford Government Center, but residents will have the chance to watch from home since attendance will be limited.

The ceremony can be viewed on the city's YouTube page, as well as on Facebook.

Simmons will take the oath of office from Connecticut Attorney General William Tong before her speech. There will also be brief remarks from Gov. Ned Lamont and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz.

Simmons, 35, defeated unaffiliated Bobby Valentine is a closely-contested race in November. Since the election, Simmons has prepared for office by working with her transition team and policy committees.
