HSS Launches Urgent Ortho Care In Stamford, NYC, Uniondale

Delivers immediate treatment for many musculoskeletal conditions.

STAMFORD, CT — On Tuesday, March 31, HSS launched HSS Urgent Ortho Care at four locations in CT, NYC and Long Island to provide access to care for patients requiring immediate treatment for many musculoskeletal conditions that would otherwise require a trip to the ER. HSS physicians provide treatment for conditions such as a bone, joint or muscle injury; possible ankle, foot or knee sprains; possible broken bones; hand, wrist or shoulder injuries; and swollen joints.

Patients need to contact the Clinical Triage Team at 833-HSS-7100 (833-477-7100), which will screen and direct to the proper treatment. The range of treatments includes an HSS Telehealth appointment, a phone screening by a physician, or an in-person appointment. Appointments are required for all patients.

HSS is taking extensive precautions to ensure patient and staff safety with the COVID-19 outbreak. Patients arriving for an in-person appointment will undergo a temperature check and screening about recent travel, any illness symptoms, and exposure to others with diagnosed or possible COVID-19 symptoms.
