STAMFORD, CT — The 39-year-old Stamford resident who was killed in a single vehicle accident on July 19 has been identified as Oscar Reyes of High Ridge Road, according to police.

Reyes was traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard around 12:30 a.m. on Monday when his 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck mounted the raised median divider, causing him to lose control, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police Department.. The truck then spun across the northbound lanes of Washington Boulevard where it struck the curb and rolled over onto the driver's side, causing Reyes to be partially ejected and pinned under the truck, Booth said.

Booth noted that first responding officers, along with two civilians, were able to move the truck enough to free Reyes, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. No other passengers were in the truck.
