Is the Bed Shrinking or Am I Growing?

Jax Outgrows Everything! 
I spent two weeks with Jax and Pepin again. Jax, now a 6 month old Great Dane, physically outgrew all his beds, his crate and the couch while I was there!! He was 110 pounds when I arrived and I’d bet anything he was at least 115-118 by the time I left. Every time he would stretch, his bones grew more. His face got bigger too as I woke up with his nose almost touching mine! If you look at my earlier post you’ll see the difference in size! 

As we all know, when you’re growing, you are a little klutzy and have to get used to how your “bigger parts” move. So, in two weeks I sustained several hits to the body, many hand chomps and foot stomps, one bloody lip from a head butting up to my chin, and a nose hit that had me sporting a bruise and sore eye for awhile! At one point, Jax even bit my head!! Then he looks at me with those sweet innocent eyes and you just can’t be angry. :-)

Poor little Pepin, the Bichon who shares the house, had to get out of the way when Jax was blowing off steam. Jax, on the other hand, was learning to jump Pepin the way horses jump hurdles!
