Jailed Husband Accused of Harassing Wife with Letters

Stamford Police charged the city man with harassment and violating a court order.

A Stamford man is facing dozens of charges after he reportedly wrote jailhouse letters to his wife, violating a court order not to contact her.

Juan Najarro-Jaures, 36, who’s been held at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on assault charges stemming from a June 2014 incident, was arrested Tuesday with 18 counts each of harassment and violating a court order, according to The Advocate.

The charges stem from a complaint filed by Najarro-Jaures’ wife with Stamford Police in March. The woman reportedly gave police all of the letters written by her husband and said she was fearful of him.
