Jon Stewart Coming To Stamford As Part Of Limited Comedy Tour

The comedian and political commentator announced a limited tour after his return to Comedy Central's "The Daily Show."

STAMFORD, CT — Fresh off his return to "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart has announced a series of stand-up comedy performances along the East Coast, which includes a stop in Stamford.

Stewart will come to The Palace Theatre on Wednesday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m., according to an announcement from Live Nation. The show quickly sold out after tickets went on sale Tuesday.

The tour, titled "An Evening with Jon Stewart," will also see the comedian and political commentator in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; York, Pa., Princeton, N.J.; and Wilmington, Del., throughout March and April.

Stewart garnered 56 Emmy Award nominations and won 24 times as the host and executive producer of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" from 1999 to 2015.

Comedian Trevor Noah took over in 2015 and hosted the show until 2022.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Stewart would return to "The Daily Show" and host on Monday nights through the 2024 election season.

Stewart's first show back was Feb. 12, which brought in 1.9 million viewers, the show's biggest audience since 2018, according to Variety.
