All who encountered Joseph walked away feeling that they were completely understood.

Joseph was always a kind and generous person. While in Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, NY he would volunteer for people with special needs. He continued these acts of service throughout his adult years by volunteering at the Special Olympics, specifically at the Yale Bowl. He also had an incredible talent of providing the most thoughtful and meaningful gifts to each of his family members. There was never a year that went by that Joseph didn't find a gift that truly reflected who the recipient was, showing how he deeply cared for each individual. All who encountered Joseph walked away feeling that they were completely understood.
