July 4 Festivities

What: Fireworks display in Stamford. Residents will be able to bring blankets and chairs to the beach. There will be food trucks onsite, and the fireworks will begin shortly after 9 p.m. For more information on parking, click here.

When: Friday, July 1. Rain date is July 2. Show begins shortly after 9 p.m.


What: Fourth annual reading of the Declaration of Independence

Where: Stamford History Center, 1508 High Ridge Road

When: Monday, July 4, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.


What: Fireworks display. Regular entry rules for Greenwich Point apply. Vehicular access to the point closes at 8 p.m. or earlier if parking capacity is reached.

Where: Binney Park and Greenwich Point

When: Saturday, July 2, dusk


What: American Flag Raising

Where: Greenwich Town Hall

When: July 4, 9 a.m.


What: Fireworks display in Darien

When: Friday, July 15. Rain date is July 16. Gates open 6:30 p.m., show begins around 9 p.m.

Where: Darien High School


What: New Canaan's 41st annual Family Fourth Celebration

Where: New Canaan

When: Saturday, July 2. 5 p.m.
