Kids Helping Kids: The Gift of Giving Holiday Shopping Extravaganza
Kids Helping Kids is partnering with the Stamford Boys and Girls Club to collect, donate holiday gifts for city children and their families.

From Kids Helping Kids.
The old saying, “It’s better to give than to receive,” will be proven true on December 13. Kids Helping Kids is partnering with the Stamford Boys & Girls Club, and students will get the opportunity to select gifts for their family for no cost through the project “The Gift of Giving”.
Children who come to the Boys & Girls Club at 347 Stillwater Avenue on this date will have a full holiday season gift shopping experience. A variety of gifts will be laid out and organized on multiple tables the children can choose from. After picking out a few items for their family members, the items will be gift-wrapped in festive wrapping to get into the full spirit of the holidays. While the children wait for the wrapping to be completed, they will create personalized holiday cards for other children in local hospitals.

All gifts will consist of donations of gently used and new items from the surrounding community. This year, Kids Helping Kids is teaming up with the Salvation Army as a drop-off collection post. All donations can be dropped off at Salvation Army, 198 Selleck Street, Stamford from Nov.1 – Dec. 12th.
Kids Helping Kids Ambassador Ethan Lange came up with the idea for “The Give of Giving” along with his 5th grade class at SLS last year, when he noticed that a huge reason that holidays are so special is because people are able to receive and give amongst their family and loved ones.

“I know how great it feels to give to my family, and I wanted kids who don’t normally get this opportunity to experience the joys of being able to give,” said Lange.
