Large Fire Reported In Stamford, Motorists Advised To Avoid Several Roads: Officials

The fire is causing "a smoke condition" in the city, according to Stamford Emergency Management.

STAMFORD, CT — Dyke Lane is closed between Elm Croft Road and Pacific Street due to a "large fire," according to Stamford Emergency Management, which posted about the closure on social media.

The fire is also causing "a smoke condition" in the South End and Downtown, the post noted.

Stamford Police called the incident a "structure fire." Motorists are being asked to avoid the area of Dyke Lane south of Pacific Street, as well as Manor Street, Harbor Street, Elmcroft Road, Belden Street and Harbor Point Road.
