Last Day, Graduation Dates Set For Stamford Public Schools

Graduation ceremonies will take place at all three public high schools will take place on the same day.

STAMFORD, CT — Monday, June 25, will be the last day of school for Stamford Public Schools for the 2017-18 school year, and the last day for staff will be Tuesday, June 26, as decided by the Board of Education during a special meeting Monday evening.

June 21, 22 and 25, will be Early Release days for students only, and Tuesday, June 26, will be an Early Release day for staff.

Graduation ceremonies will take place at all three high schools on Friday, June 22 at a time to be determined for each school. When students will process in caps and gowns, as well as follow other graduation traditions, will be part of that determination.

"However, in keeping with State of Connecticut law, students will not be awarded diplomas until they complete the 180th day of class on Monday, June 25, at which time the class will be certified by the principal, and students will receive their diplomas," wrote district officials in a statement.

Dates for elementary and middle school student moving up ceremonies will be announced following the April break.
