Gomez said she's excited to help bring Gotcha Covered to the Stamford area.
"Windows or window coverings, we don't really think about them until we're in a home that has none or has really old windows and we realize how important they are," Gomez said. "Just being that helping hand for folks is really exciting for me, because it can be a very difficult process to figure out what you want, what you need, what will work for your space and what will not."

Thinking about windows and ways to improve energy efficiency is important right now, Gomez explained.
"Window treatments and things like honeycomb or cellular can certainly help people with their energy efficiency in both the summer and winter months," Gomez said. "As our energy costs are rising, there's never been a more important time to look at something like cellular shades to insulate homes that are very drafty, or homes that are older."
Window treatments and drapery can also elevate a room's look, and take it from ordinary to elegant, Gomez said.
There is no brick and mortar location in Stamford. instead, Gomez will come to a client's home for an in-depth consultation on everything windows. She has a dedicated installer who works exclusively on projects for her.
Gomez decided to leave the corporate world and began to search for other opportunities. She first got in touch with Gotcha Covered in May, and officially signed on as a franchisee late in the summer.
Gomez holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s in public relations and business communications, both from New York University. She has 12 years of experience working in retail sales, sales management, retail sales operations and B2B sales. She is also a graduate of Tony Robins Mastery University.
"I like to say that I'm the window treatment genie," Gomez said. "I take your windows from draft to fab. We really do an elevated, boutique-like service. If people are really looking for that boutique-like consultative approach, I'm really who they're looking for."
In 2021, Gotcha Covered added 27 new franchise locations. They currently have over 145 across the U.S. and Canada.
