Linda McMahon Queried By Congress Over John Cena Proposal

Linda McMahon didn't seem too thrilled by a congressman's question about wrestler John Cena's proposal at WrestleMania 33.

STAMFORD, CT — It seems Linda McMahon won't be escaping the occasional WWE-related question in Washington anytime soon. U.S. Rep. Rod Blum of Iowa took his last 45 seconds on the floor during a hearing to ask McMahon why it took John Cena years to propose to longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella.

"Why did it take John Cena so long to propose marriage to Nikki Bella?" Blum said to some chuckles in the crowd. "And remember, you're under oath."

"You'd have to ask him," McMahon replied.

The proposal became the biggest story out of Wrestlemania 33. Cena had previously vowed never to marry again after being divorced, but he changed his mind and proposed to Bella, his girlfriend of five years.
