Man, 64, Accused Of Purchasing Narcotics For Resale: Stamford Police

STAMFORD, CT — A 64-year-old man is accused of buying narcotics in Bridgeport to resell elsewhere, according to Stamford police, who recovered dozens of bags of fentanyl and crack cocaine after a quick investigation last week.

Gregory Peloquin, of Stamford, was arrested on May 8 and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On May 8, the Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime unit received information Peloquin would be traveling to Bridgeport to purchase narcotics for resale, Assistant Stamford Police Chief Richard Conklin said.

Officers set up surveillance outside Peloquin's Strawberry Hill Avenue apartment and saw him get into a taxi, Conklin said.
Police followed the taxi to Bridgeport where Peloquin met with someone, Conklin said.

The taxi was then stopped by police in Stamford in the area of North State Street at Atlantic Street.

Peloquin was found with 24 bags of crack cocaine, 100 bags of fentanyl and $3,620 in cash, Conklin said.

After consenting to a search of his apartment, officers found an additional 58 bags of fentanyl, 2.3 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale, Conklin added.

Peloquin has a bond of $25,000 and is due in court on May 22.
