Man Accused Of Striking Teen With Truck In Stamford: PD
Police said the incident occurred at a crosswalk in Stamford.
STAMFORD, CT — Police said a 17-year-old girl sustained minor injuries Saturday after being struck by a landscaping truck at a crosswalk in Stamford. According to Sergeant Jennifer Pinto, the crosswalk is located at Selleck Street and Southfield Avenue.
Pinto said the girl reported being hit by the truck while carrying her dog across the street. The truck did not stop after the incident, however police eventually located the vehicle on Sunnyside Avenue, Pinto said.
According to Pinto, the driver of the truck, Udiel Chinchilla-Goody, 37, of Stamford, told police he did not stop following the incident because did not think it was that serious.

The accused was charged with evading responsibility, operating without a license and failure to grant right of way in a crosswalk, Pinto said.
