Man Shot In Head, Police Seek Information: Stamford Police

Officers responded to a report of a man shot in the head on Sunday afternoon in Stamford, according to police.

STAMFORD, CT — A 20-year-old Stamford man was shot in the head Sunday afternoon in Stamford, according to police.

At approximately 2:52 p.m., the patrol division responded to a report of a man shot in the area of the 30 block of Spruce Street, police said in a news release.

Officers found a man, later identified as Kaysean Manning, with a gunshot wound to the side of the head, police said.

Manning was taken to Stamford Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Police said Sunday evening he was in stable condition.

"Several unidentified individuals were present at the time of the incident and were seen running away from the scene," police added.
