Man Threatens to Kill Ex's Pet Rabbit in Stamford: PD

The man flipped out at his ex-girlfriend's apartment, grabbed her rabbit and threatened to kill it, police said.

STAMFORD, CT — A man was arrested after he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend's pet rabbit and violated a protective order, police said.

Police responded to a Towne Street apartment on reports of a woman crying for help Feb. 9. They eventually found the distraught woman who said her ex-boyfriend Andrew Walsh, 33, threw things around her apartment and threatened to kill the rabbit.

A video corroborated her account, police said.

A protective order in place banned Walsh from contacting the woman. The woman said Walsh had left her residence, but tried to kick in the door prior to police arrival, according to police.

Police weren't able to find Walsh the night of the incident.

Walsh was contacted and turned himself in. He was charged with violation of a protective order and third-degree criminal mischief.
