Man Tried to Swindle Mother Out of Stamford Condo: PD
The man tried to present a quickclaim deed that showed he bought the property for $1 from his mother with dementia, police said.

STAMFORD, CT- A man was arrested after he attempted to swindle his mother out of her condo, according to police.
Police got a tip from a niece of Marcos Robalino, 62, that he was trying to take his mother's condo, according to the Stamford Advocate. The woman has dementia and Robalino was living in her condo after she moved in with another relative.
Family members moved in 2015 to evict Robalino after he didn't fulfill financial and maintenance obligations. He then presented a quitclaim dead showing that he bought the house for $1. A judge didn't recognize the document and a doctor said that Robalino's mother's dementia prevented her from managing personal affairs.
