Man Who Sold Cocaine Out Of Bar Arrested: Stamford PD

Officers arrested Marino De Los Santos, 40, as he walked to work last Friday evening.

STAMFORD, CT—Police have arrested a man who allegedly sold cocaine out of the bar he worked in.

Marino De Los Santos, 40, of Stamford, was apprehended after a brief struggle with police as he walked to work at Reyes Bar & Restaurant near his home on Stillwater Avenue last Friday around 5:45 p.m.

"Our Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad had information and worked up an investigation on [De Los Santos] that he was selling cocaine from within Reyes Bar & Restaurant," said Capt. Richard Conklin of the Stamford Police Department on Monday. "On this date, he was going to work and [police] set-up on him because he'd walk from his residence to Reyes Bar, and they stopped him."

Police found 10 bags of cocaine on De Los Santos, and about $1,700 in cash. He was walked back to his house and police executed a search warrant on the residence, where they found an additional 44 bags of cocaine totalling about 40 grams, along with a scale.

De Los Santos was charged with interfering with police, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on Friday night after posting $5,000 bond.

De Los Santos has a court date set for July 9, 2021.
