Marilyn Monroe Statue To Grace Downtown Stamford
The 26-foot tall statue will be on display this summer in Latham Park.

STAMFORD, CT — Film icon Marilyn Monroe's next role will be in Downtown Stamford's Latham Park this summer, writes the Stamford Advocate.
A 26-foot tall statue of the star, called "Forever Marilyn," will be installed in the park in June for the summer. The 30,000-pound statue was created by sculptor Seward Johnson, and is being brought to Stamford by the Downtown Special Services District and UC Funds.
Johnson's work has appear in Stamford before, in 1996, 1997, 2002 and 2008, and a total of 36 of his sculptures will be on temporary display throughout Stamford this summer.
