Massive Payout For Stamford Scratch-Off Game Winner

STAMFORD, CT — Connecticut's Gold Coast got even more affluent Thursday when a Stamford resident turned a $20 scratch-off ticket into a $500,000 payout.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the winning ticket was purchased at the Newfield Petro Corp. gas station, 582 Newfield Ave., Stamford.

The winning game was the $500,000 Extravaganza! Second Edition scratch-off game, which costs $20 to play.

At $500,000, the unidentified winner earned the maximum payout associated with the game.
