"We are all heartbroken by the loss of Susan Nabel. Susan embodied what it meant to be a true public servant. She led with compassion, thoughtfulness, and was a fierce advocate for her constituents and her community. Her leadership on the Board of Representatives, as well as the Board of Education, resulted in critical investments in Stamford’s public services, parks, and schools. Her contributions are many and during her tenure she touched the lives of countless residents across Stamford. I will miss Susan dearly, and I am comforted to know she leaves behind a legacy of extraordinary public service and contribution to our City, one that we will be forever grateful for. My thoughts are with her husband Bill, their children Jake and Hannah, and all her family and friends during this difficult time."
