Medical Mondays at The Ferguson Library
The monthly series is co-sponsored by Stamford Health and features physicians and medical professionals from Stamford Health.
Discover what you don’t know and what you need to know to take charge of your health at The Ferguson Library when the Library continues its monthly Medical Mondays series. Co-sponsored by Stamford Health and featuring physicians and medical professionals from Stamford Health, the programs will cover topics such as family nutrition, the importance of mammograms, and guidelines for a happy and positive holiday season. All sessions will take place at the Ernest A. DiMattia, Jr. Building of The Ferguson Library. The programs are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
On Monday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m., Ilaria St. Florian, MS, RD, will present Family Nutrition: Practical Tips for Healthy Eating for All Ages. Ilaria St. Florian has a Master’s degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University and is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist at Stamford Health. She is the Manager of KIDS’ FANS (Fitness and Nutrition Services), a pediatric wellness and obesity prevention program that encourages healthy eating and physical activity in children ages 3 to 18. She is also the Manager of the Stamford Children’s Health Collaborative.
On Monday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m., Moira O’Riordan, M.D., will present Why Should You Get a Mammogram? It Might Just Save Your Life! Dr. O’Riordan is an expert in breast imaging, including 3D mammography, screening and diagnostic ultrasound, and breast MRI. She also performs minimally invasive breast biopsies. Dr. O’Riordan graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. After completing a Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), she continued at UCSF for specialized fellowship training in Women’s Imaging. She is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology.

On Monday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m., Danielle Greenman, M.D., will present 10 Things You Can Do to Have a Happy, Positive Holiday Season. Dr. Greenman is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in integrative and functional medicine. She is also licensed in acupuncture. Dr. Greenman earned her medical degree at Rutgers University, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in internal medicine, and also completed two fellowships in Integrative Medicine. She is a champion of women’s health and works with patients in the areas of pregnancy, fertility, polycystic ovary syndrome and menopause.
