Mildred Arrico, 87; Lifelong Stamford Resident; Worked 35 Years at Clairol

The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 3.

Mildred Arrico, 87, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Stamford Hospital.

She was born in Stamford on May 3, 1927 to the late Charles and Angelina Fiore Lamotta.

Mildred was an employee at Clairol for thirty five years before retiring in 1999. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Frank Arrico, James J. Arrico and his wife Karen, Joseph Arrico all of Stamford, a brother Jerry Lamotta and his wife Sandra of Stamford; a sister Frances Lupinacci of Stamford; three grandchildren Lauri Wood and her husband James, James T. Arrico and Jesse Arrico and five great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also surviving.

Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband Charles C. Arrico, Sr., a son Charles Arrico, Jr. and a sister Mary Ambrosio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Gabriel RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours.

The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral & Crematory is honored to assist the Arrico family with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mildred’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38105
