Drawings and paintings of pets, people and Medieval inspired watercolors by Fine Arts Artist, ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak, are on display in the gallery of Waterstone on High Ridge located at 215 High Ridge Road in Stamford, CT during the month of February 2024.

The show includes a mix of Charcoal Drawings of pets and children including an historical recreation of a once known photographer's image of a family that perished during the Holocaust. Other works included in the show are exquisite watercolor paintings inspired by Medieval manuscripts, portraits of pets including bearded dragons, dogs, cats, guinea pigs and an Eastern Mountain Lion named "Takoda". Oil paintings include a sassy "Pomeranian", "Westfarms Quartet", children "playing soccer by the beach" and a painting of "Nancy's Mom Heading out", (whom most folks mistake for a portrait of Jodi Rell).

Q&A:

What does the artist need to make a portrait for me?

A small collection of your favorite photos and your ideas for what you have in mind for size and media. The artist will make recommendations and provide pricing specific to your needs. A first payment gets your portrait started. When the portrait is complete, ShawnaLee will email you a photo of the artwork for your approval. The balance is due when the portrait is complete, (prior to shipping or studio pick up) and you’re thrilled with it.
