The shooting took place just after midnight and there was a large crowd that had formed.

STAMFORD, CT — A woman in her early 30s was fatally shot and three others were injured in the parking lot of a Stamford housing complex early Sunday morning, according to police.
Capt. Richard Conklin said numerous shots broke out around 12:15 a.m. at the complex in the area of Ursula Place and Dale streets while about 30 or 40 people were "milling around" the parking lot. (To sign up for Stamford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Conklin said police notified area hospitals of the incident "due to the large amount of shots expended." As a result, police later learned a man in his early 40s arrived at Bridgeport Hospital with "multiple gunshot wounds to his legs," Conklin said.
Two other people who had been wounded by gunfire later arrived at Stamford Hospital as well, Conklin said.
According to the Stamford Advocate, one of the people who showed up at Stamford Hospital for treatment had been shot in the leg and the other had been shot in the arm.
"A large amount of rounds [were] expended," Conklin said. "We recovered a lot of casings at the scene, and we're continuing to process the location."
Police said many people who were part of the large crowd gathered at the parking lot fled the scene before officers arrived. He also noted police are reviewing video footage of the area to see if they can identify any people or cars.
